Sally Johnston, MA, PLPC focuses her practice on providing Emotional Focused Therapy to Individuals and Couples. She is under supervision toward certification as an Emotional Focused Therapist (EFT) under the requirements of ICEEFT (the International Center of Excellence for EFT www.iceeft.com).  EFT is evidence based and highly effective with couples experiencing distress and conflicts.  It is also a compelling way to work with individual struggling with addictions or attachment injuries.  These injuries often show up as anxiety, withdrawal, or damages to our sense of SELF (“I am not enough” “I feel needy” “I am not worth loving”).

Her own story, with its many twists and turns, has formed her conviction that attachment injuries can be repaired.  By facing her own addictions, she has found not only a new life, but an understanding that there is hope for others.  Her approach to addictions is not behavioral management, but rather deep repair of attachment trauma. Sally is single and older, so she knows the challenges of facing life alone.  Sally Johnston holds her MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary.
